One of the music encyclopedias I checked said that Nourrit (the tenor playing Masaniello) did actually incorporate La Marseillaise into his performances in 1830, and I'm really curious where. Here, in encores, maybe? Or maybe in the big revolution scenes in act III?
I've gotten so curious about this opera now and it's just so boring musically, I'm laughing at myself a lot.
